Program Overview
This session prepares leaders to support more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplaces, particularly if you are managing employees from underrepresented or historically marginalized communities. You'll gain strategies to address communications and behaviors that can unwittingly create a less harmonious workplace community ultimately boosting cultural awareness, happiness and productivity.
SESSION OBJECTIVES
- Address Implicit Bias: Help people recognize and address their own implicit biases such as subconscious feelings, attitudes and prejudices that can affect decision-making.
- Educate Yourself and Others About Racial Discrimination: Break down barriers on your team(s) that often result from stereotyped assumptions.
- Identify and Eradicate Microaggressions: Acquire strategies to approach, address, and intervene when employees consciously or unconsciously impact coworkers in a negative way.
- Build DEI Best Practices into Employee Recruitment: Learn how to develop a strategic hiring plan that incorporates diversity and inclusion throughout the recruitment process as well as tips for successfully onboarding new employees
- Motivate Employees: Explore how goals and rewards, friendly competitions, and a clear understanding of your organizational mission will all contribute to employee happiness.
