Program Overview

Receiving and providing mentoring are crucial for professional growth at every career stage. Effective mentoring means supporting mentees through a number of specific, proven practices that enable greater success and growth. This ninety minute seminar will introduce the core mentoring skills to be successful as a mentor:

• Building trusting relationships
• Providing useful advice
• Supporting career and personal goals
• Encouraging learning and discovery

The seminar will begin with an opportunity for a structured introduction of all participants. This will allow participants to share their backgrounds, strengths, and values while also facilitating cross-functional conversations. There will be breakout group discussions as well as a chance for individual Q&A.
